"Care Packages From Home For Christmas" for Houston-area Troops Serving in Harm's Way Overseas"
American Legion Hall, 307 Charles St, Humble, TX 77338
Friday, November 6th: We'll deliver our non-perishable food items we've purchased and help the Blue Star Moms sort all iitems.
Saturday, November 7th: we'll pack the boxes and load them into SUVs for delivery to the U.S, Post Office for immediate shipment overseas!
To make a monetary donation, visit www.bsmhoustonarea.org. Monetary donations help the Blue Star Moms to cover the more than $20,000 a year they spend on postage to send these care packages.
If you have questions, please contact Kingwood Rotarian Charlie Buscemi at 713-598-7129 or cjsb@SuddenLink.net.
We're very proud to be supporting the Blue Star Moms of Houston (which is based in the Humble/Kingwood area) by purchasing non-perishable to fill boxes of "Care Packages From Home" for our local military service members in combat zones in harm's way. This is a project we've done since we were chartered in 2004 and is one of our club's favorites!
We're proudly helping again just like we did at their last packing event. The 100+ boxes were packed....and shipped immediately overseas to arrive by Christmas.
